East Texas is home for Dr. Amy Huggins; she grew up in Lufkin. After graduating from Lufkin High School, Dr. Huggins attended Texas A&M University for her undergraduate degree. She completed medical school at the University of North Texas Health Science Center and her residency in Pediatrics at the Medical University of South Carolina where she served as Chief Resident. In 2006, Dr. Huggins opened her private practice in Nacogdoches. She expanded her services with the grand-opening of PineyWoods Pediatrics in 2010.
Dr. Huggins is Board Certified in Pediatrics and a member of the Texas Pediatrics Association, Texas Medical Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is on staff at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital and Nacogdoches Medical Center. Dr. Huggins attends Grace Bible Church in Nacogdoches
Dr. Huggins is married with three children.
Dr. Mary Barnette was raised in a military family and lived in Turkey, Mississippi, Alabama, Oklahoma and Abilene before making her home in Nacogdoches. She earned a B.S. in Biological Sciences from Mississippi State University. Dr. Barnette attended medical school on an Air Force scholarship and earned her medical degree from the University of Mississippi. Before serving three years active duty as a general medical officer at Vance Air Force Base in Enid, Oklahoma, Dr. Barnette completed a one-year internship in pediatrics at the University of Mississippi. She completed her pediatric residency at Texas Tech University.
In 2002, Dr. Barnette opened her private practice in Nacogdoches. She expanded her services by joining PineyWoods Pediatrics in 2016.
Dr. Barnette is Board Certified in Pediatrics and a member Texas Medical Association. She is on staff at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital and Nacogdoches Medical Center. Dr. Barnette attends Holly Springs Baptist Church in Nacogdoches and is a member of the Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Barnette serves on the Nacogdoches County Child Fatality Review Team which conducts in-depth reviews of circumstances of child deaths.

East Texas is home for Moriah Riggins; she grew up in Etoile, Texas. After graduating from Woden High School, Mrs. Riggins attended Panola College and Stephen F. Austin to earn an undergraduate degree in nursing. After working as a Registered Nurse for nine years, she completed her Master of Science in Nursing degree at University of South Alabama. Mrs. Riggins has held certification as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant since 2009. In 2006,
Mrs. Riggins joined the staff of Dr. Amy Huggins when she opened her private practice in Nacogdoches. She grew along with their patients and expanded her services to include Certified Lactation Consulting through Pineywoods Pediatrics, P.A. in 2010.
Mrs. Riggins is board certified as a pediatric nurse practitioner and lactation consultant, and a member of National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and International Lactation Consultant Association. She is an active member of Springhill Baptist Church.
Moriah is married with two children. She serves on various committees and boards at Woden, ISD.
